With over 25 years of personal experience as a fishing guide in Montana and Florida, Austin Lowder has spent thousands of days exposed to a diverse range of harsh conditions. Years of exposure to the elements took a toll which led Austin to conclude that protection and comfort of the head was the single most important thing to enjoy the great outdoors. Trying all the conventional head protection available, Austin realized that all these products were full of compromises that fell short of what outdoor workers and enthusiasts truly needed: full-day comfort and protection in any environment. This need became the product solution that gave birth to Riff.
